Rita Reimers and Linda Hall

ROAD TRIP

Hi, this is Rita, and as Simon said, we had some visitors at my house this week. (yes Simon, it's MY house, not yours!)

Linda Hall and her awesome daughter, Nikki, made that long drive from NorthWest Ohio all the way down to the northern part of South Carolina, just to visit me and my kitties! Can you believe I hadn't had human visitors since last July 2020!

We usually spend so much time working that it was nice to relax and let our hair down, jump into my portable spa at night, and just laugh until we cried.

Unfortunately, my kitty Lovey, who has been battling cancer, took a turn for the worse while Linda was here. Linda went to the vet with me and helped me let Lovey peacefully pass, so he could make his journey over the rainbow bridge. Many thanks once again to my paw-some vet, Dr. Glenn, for always making it easier with his kindness and compassion.

Oh, we did some work, too. There are many surprises are in store for you over the next few months... Stay Tuned!

Why Cats are A-holes

19 Cats and Counting

Is Your Cat an A-hole?

Do you ever get frustrated with your cat? Do you sometimes think he is a demon who is plotting your very demise?

You are not alone!

Liz is a gifted comedian who has been doing stand-up since she was just 16! At 18, she was profiled in The New Yorker Magazine, at 22 she appeared on Comedy Central’s “Live at Gotham.” She recently appeared on Comedy Central’s “This Week at the Comedy Cellar,” NPR’s “Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me,” Hulu’s “Coming To The Stage,” AXS TV’s “Gotham Comedy Live,” and was profiled in the March 2015 issue of Runner’s World. Liz released her first special “Self Help Me” in May 2020, which is free on YouTube.

As a cat mom, and after telling one cat joke too many on stage (ha ha), Liz had the idea to write her first book, “Why Cats Are A*holes.”

Tune in as Rita and Linda talk with Liz about her career, her cat, and why she wrote this very relatable book about being a cat owner.

"the decision"

The hardest thing about having a pet is knowing that goodbye eventually comes. It's the price we pay for loving them.

Linda and Rita discuss the very recent loss of her cat, Lovey, and the agonizing decision every cat parent dreads. 💔

Calling Dr. Fluffy... The healing power of cats

Written by: Linda Hall

Cats never cease to amaze me! I learn something new every day that I spend with them.

My biggest surprise was when I learned that cats can heal. Yes. You read that right. Cats can heal you! Apparently this is something they have known for many years!

Doctors used to suggest patients with broken bones spend time with their purring friends to help heal them.

Have you ever been been physical therapy and...

Is Your Cat Happy?

Have you ever wondered if your cat is really happy? If he’s acting strange, is it because he is ill? After surgery, does he really need these pain pills or are you medicating your cat needlessly?

RELAX MY CAT - Music and Videos for Cats!

Started in 2011 by Amman Ahmed and Ricardo Henriquez, Relax My Cat and Relax My Dog were inspired by an incredibly cute dog called Rocky, and a cute cat called Mia.

Ricardo and Mia both experienced a life of political unrest and violence in their local communities, leaving them less than relaxed. Relax My Cat has had a positive impact on over 10 million cats and dogs so far, including Rita and Linda’s cats.

Tune in next week, as Rita and Linda introduce you to the wonderfully talented Amman Ahmed and find out how your cat can try Relax My Cat and Relax My Dog, too.

It has been a rough few months in the Reimers household, as Rita once again had to bid a goodbye to one of her kitty kids.

Lovey entered Rita's life in 2010, along with his siblings Brownie, Cupcake, and Dash, each one named for some aspect of their purrsonalities.

Sadly, Lovey had cancer, and it spread rapidly. At just 11 years old, Rita made the decision to end his suffering, with Linda and Dr. Glenn there for moral support as they all said farewell to Lovey Lovebug...

RIP sweet kitty. Until we meet again at the Rainbow Bridge...
