KUALA LUMPUR: You can come to Langkawi even if you’re not wearing anything, Datuk Mohd Suhaimi Abdullah (PN-Langkawi) has told a government backbencher.
This came after Teresa Kok (PH-Seputeh) asked whether shorts were allowed to be worn in Langkawi.
"I want to specially invite YB Seputeh to come. It’s fine even if you’re not wearing anything when you come.
"Why are you asking about wearing shorts then?
"I also forgot to mention that I want to imagine what Seputeh wears to Langkawi," he said in Parliament on Thursday (Oct 26), drawing an uproar from MPs in the hall.
To this, Kok said Mohd Shuhaimi had obscene thoughts.
"This is obscene. Your thoughts are not pure," she said in response.
Chong Zhemin (PH-Kampar) then said being naked in public was against the law.
"YB, not wearing anything is against the law. Please retract your statement.
"Not wearing anything amounts to being naked," he said.
Deputy Dewan Rakyat Speaker Alice Lau then ordered for MPs to be seated.
"Don’t waste time," she said.
