Do you have the feeling how a cup of good and strong coffee lightens your day up? I missed it so much after days of road trip and watery coffee failures. I was worried this will be another disappointment, so I checked out their website. Starting with "coffee has 1300 compounds that defines its flavor versus 800 for wine etc" I can tell Giobean knows what they are doing. I'm glad my visit paid off!

I was welcomed by warm smiles from the staff. Ordered Italian style espresso, matcha latte, and a house made scone (best seller) based on their recommendation. The espresso is STRONG! It's aromatic, rich and creamy on its own. The after taste is lightly sweet. Matcha latte is a bit too sweet for my taste, but it's very delicious too! Strong matcha and milk aroma, foamy and very consistent. The scone is also a delight. The cust is crunchy versus inside is soft and a little moist. It's not too sweet either.

What a hidden gem! Will come back if I visit Kelowna again.

I can see why this place has such amazing reviews. I've been there three times and every time the hospitality is second to none. Kaelen and Sarah are genuine, cheerful and appear to enjoy their work. They also seem to be following the Covid protocols very carefully, and that makes it a very safe place to be. Keep it up!!

I am an early riser, and my fiancee is a 9 alarm late snoozer, so when we go on vacation anywhere, instead of sitting quietly in a hotel room, I head out and try to find a hidden gem of a coffee shop. I googled and Yelped coffee joints in Kelowna and Giobean is no hidden gem. Anywhere I looked it had already been highly reviewed.

Lots of parking available close to Giobean. I went in and the vibe was great, smelled amazing, great looking pastries, and a warm greeting from staff.

The first day there, I ordered a caramel macchiato and a raisin scone. Watching the owner work his magic with the coffee was great. You can tell that he truly enjoys what he does. The coffee tasted great, nice amount of milk and foam, hint of caramel but not too sweet letting the coffee be the star. The scone was light and fluffy, raisins that must have been hydrated as they were large and moist, and a light dusting of confectioners sugar. Delicious.

Second day I got a Italia Mocha. Again, expertly crafted, a delicious drink that once again let the taste of the coffee rise to the forefront.

Biobean is busy! You could tell they knew and appreciated their regulars knowing their orders as they walked in the door. The owner took time to speak with anyone who wanted to chat for a minute.

Both days, I also got a drip coffee to go as well, and even bought a bag of beans that they roast to bring home, I am enjoying a cup as I write this actually. Giobean alone would take be on another trip back to Kelowna.

Coffee is fantastic. We always make the trip to Giobean for their coffee and scone. The coffee is so smooth and rich and the scones are fluffy-on-the-inside with the perfect amount of crunch and sweetness on the outside. Years ago, they had cherry scones which were AMAZING but now the scones are raisin, which is still good, but not as showstopping as the cherry.

This place is adjacent to the Delta hotel and a block away from the water. There's ample seating on their outdoor patio, which is usually busy.

Try Giobean! You won't regret it.

Finally! Real Italian espresso. Smooth. Rich. Sweet. Not acidic or fruity. It is the genuine article. There's a reason there's a line up. Get in line. Gio is a master roaster. He roasts his own beans. His staff is professional friendly and know how to take care of customers. Gio is there chatting up people ensuring quality and answer any questions you have. Double espresso macchiatos were amazing and try the affogato with toasted almond. Just like Italia!

One of my top 5 favorite coffee experiences in Canada. Gioben serves up a smooth and sweet European cup that has been roasted and brewed in the grand Italian tradition.

Situated on a nice quiet street near the water with lots of easy free parking. The owners and staff are very friendly and professional. I go approx. 4 times a year when in town on business and they always treat me like they remember me (when there is no possible way that they could). Highly recommended !

Stopped in for a morning coffee and the famous freshly-made croissants. The owners are friendly and welcoming to every person who enters the small cafe.

The weather was great and we sat on the outside patio. I had the regular croissant and almond croissant ... both amazing.

Despite the fact there are about 15 cafes in downtown Kelowna, Giobean still really stands out. I regularly post up here for a cappuccino I believe there has only been one time that the owner, Gio himself, didn't prepare my coffee order.

The coffee shop itself anything to brag about but great euro patio, sunrise facing. Tiny little Disney-like birds everywhere.

Giobean doesn't offer the variety or quality of food that other cafes do but their coffee is solid. If you haven't tried Gio's affogato, order it. You'll thank me later.

Gio is a character. Need more business owners like these.

Was a bit worried about having coffee here since it just looked like it would have regular, slightly watery coffee, but it was really good! I came here a few times while walking along the waterfront area. Each time was amazing! (minus one bland ice coffee) Service was fast and they always looked happy with smiles on their faces!
