An Antifa activist committed suicide after Hungarian police raided his house. However, the investigation is not over, as police want to know how he obtained 70,000 graphic pedophilia recordings, with many of them depicting the torture and rape of small children. The case, which is connected to the German Antifa scene, has spooked Hungary, with police discovering signs of a strange ritual close to where the man hung himself.

The massive child porn stash on the Antifa activist’s hard drive came as a shocking twist in a case that spans the left-wing Antifa scenes of Hungary and Germany. So far, the name of the activist has not been released by Hungarian police.

The man was a Hungarian Antifa activist believed to have played a major role in attacking individuals thought to be far-right activists on the streets of Budapest with the help of German activists in February of this year. During the investigation in connection with the street attacks, the police found the child porn on the man’s laptop after his partner’s apartment was raided. Police found no evidence that his partner was involved in any child porn crimes.

Among the thousands of child porn files discovered, there were 300 videos of particularly brutal sexual abuse of children under the age of 12, including many children between two and three years old.

According to newspaper reports, the activist hung himself in the woods near the abandoned Holdfény Missile Base, a former Soviet-era military site, near the city of Biatorbágy after the police moved in to apprehend him.

Close to where the man committed suicide, police discovered a toy doll that had been set on fire in the middle of a fire pit built out of stones. A photo of the doll was obtained by Hungarian newspaper Metropol.

The remains of a burned doll were discovered close to where an Antifa activist committed suicide near a former Soviet-era military base in the Hungarian city of Biatorbágy.

According to Metropol’s on-site report, someone placed a tire in front of the fire pit, which the paper notes appeared to be a makeshift seat to watch the doll burn. According to the newspaper’s information, the man who most likely committed suicide was found close to what the paper speculates to be a “ritual.” So far, the police are treating the incident as a suicide and said they have found no evidence of homicide.

In the ruins of the military base near Biatorbág, the fire pit for the doll and a spare tire are seen in the lower part of this photo.

Police say the Antifa activist with gigabytes of violent kiddie porn was involved in the infamous Hammerbande, which translates to Hammer Gang, a violent far-left Antifa group based out of Germany. The group is known for attacking right-wing activists, and in some cases innocent pedestrians mistaken for far-right members, with hammers and bats.

As Remix News reported last month, a German court in Dresden delivered in early June its verdict in the trial of the leader of the Hammerbande, with the judge sentencing Lina Engel to five years and three months in prison, while three of her associates received lesser sentences. The trial lasted 97 days and featured enormous amounts of evidence and numerous witnesses.

The group had severely beaten a number of activists, who in some cases were left with life-altering injuries.

However, one of the group’s major attacks also occurred in Hungary’s capital city of Budapest, with the Antifa activist who committed suicide said to be behind the planning of that particular attack, Hungarian news portal Metropol reports.

The Hungarian activist reportedly worked at a radical café in the Austrian city of Innsbruck, which according to the Austrian Interior Ministry is a known meeting place for Austro-German Antifa activists.

In addition, the activist reportedly worked for the Hungarian left-wing organization known as the Szikra Movement, which was founded by Hungarian left-wing MP András Jámbor. Hungarian news outlet Magyar Nemzet has reached out to Jámbor to comment on the case, but he has refused to answer any questions, only releasing a statement on his Facebook page that he had nothing to do with the case of the alleged pedophile.

Despite his suicide, police continue to investigate how the man received the child porn images, their origins, and whether the Antifa activist helped record any of the videos. The police believe the children depicted in the images may be in imminent danger. The police stated that they also want to trace if the suspect shared any of the files or had any accomplices in the crime.
