Trees are important landscape features. Some provide shade and act as windbreakers while the ornamental ones embellish the compound with fruits and colorful foliage.

Steven Kirumira, a landscaper says, that after the trees have grown, go ahead and decorate around them to enhance garden beauty.

Christine Tendo, another landscaper adds, that there are different ways you can achieve that.

Start by digging the space around the tree and create a raised garden bed using stones or bricks. Add flowers depending on the look you want. For instance, you can fill it with impatiens of different colors, coleus, or lilies.

You can also create a rock garden around a big tree, especially if it is in the middle of a strategic corner of the compound. First dig around it before adding plants, rocks, or pebbles. That’s a unique way of adding texture and style to your garden.

More to that, you can add some lights around your trees to set the mood. Thereafter, turn that spot into a relaxing nook in the evening. Take it a notch up by adding outdoor chairs or a bench and table. Remember to install a walkway or path leading to that tree, to make it accessible.
