Start by digging the space around the tree and create a raised garden bed using stones or bricks. Add flowers depending on the look you want. For instance, you can fill it with impatiens of different colors, coleus, or lilies.

You can also create a rock garden using pebbles and plants

However, ensure the plants you choose are shade-loving. If you are not a fan of blooms, then, plant succulents so long as the spot receives long hours of sunlight.

You can also create a rock garden around a big tree, especially if it is in the middle of a strategic corner of the compound. First dig around it before adding plants, rocks, or pebbles. That’s a unique way of adding texture and style to your garden.

More to that, you can add some lights around your trees to set the mood. Thereafter, turn that spot into a relaxing nook in the evening. Take it a notch up by adding outdoor chairs or a bench and table. Remember to install a walkway or path leading to that tree, to make it accessible.
