Mohegan Launches Its Own Online Casino Amid Kindred’s Departure
Mohegan Pennsylvania decided to take matters into its own hands after its online casino partner, Kindred, decided to leave Pennsylvania and the US market altogether. The retail facility is not looking elsewhere for a new companion.

Mohegan announced it is launching its own branded Pennsylvania online casino.

Kindred’s platform, Unibet, had not performed well in the Keystone State, which triggered the company to exit the market. During the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board’s monthly meeting in January, Mohegan Pennsylvania presented a plan to launch its own platform. As of today, it’s finally ready.

Mohegan Pennsylvania is emphasizing an omni-channel experience, bridging the gap between retail and online players. The operator is hoping for better performance because of it.

Mohegan becomes the Keystone State’s 22nd online casino

Kindred announced last November that it was leaving the Pennsylvania gambling market. It gave Mohegan time to think about its next online partner. However, it thought its own platform could succeed in the Keystone State.

While it had been months in the making, Mohegan announced that it launched in Pennsylvania on Thursday, bringing the state to 22 PA casino apps.

Rich Roberts, president of Mohegan Digital, said in a statement emailed to PlayPennsylvania:

"This is an exciting moment for Mohegan Digital as we expand our very own online gaming brand to
Pennsylvania, in close coordination with Mohegan Pennsylvania. Our growth with the MoheganSunCasino.com app in Connecticut and New Jersey continues to surpass expectations, as does our PlayFallsView app in Ontario, CA. To now have our fourth launch in the great state of Pennsylvania marks another great opportunity for Mohegan Digital.”

The Mohegan Sun iGaming platform is available on a desktop or through the App Store for iPhone users and Google Play for Android users.
