In partnership with U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), One Earth Conservation (OEC) has launched a project to conserve sun parakeets in Karasabai, an indigenous village located near to Brazil.
A statement by the US Embassy said that a team from USFWS recently visited Guyana to participate in a Parrot Conservation Workshop organized by OEC and the University of Guyana. The six-day workshop used a combination of theory and practice with an emphasis on safe practices and procedures.
