Original vintage design for a lovely evening dress in coloured moire silk with tiered flounced skirt.

With dropped waist and raised middle, which is decorated with a large motif. Gathering detail at the shoulder seams. The front V-neckline and back round neckline as well as the armholes are bordered with narrow bias strips. The hem of the two flounces that form the skirt are also finished with bias.

I am fortunate enough to have a collection of old pattern magazines from the 1920s and 30s and am now in the process of reproducing the gorgeous designs from the pattern sheets included with these magazines. The patterns are faithful line on line digital reproductions that have been traced from these sheets, and Ive added seam allowances and produced the facings.

The pattern doesn't come with any specific instructions, so to help you make your garment, every pattern comes with a free copy of an original 47 page 1930's Singer sewing techniques book. This booklet has in depth explanations for the techniques you will need.

I format all my patterns as full size sheets and on A4 tiles, this is so you can choose the printing option that suits you best (full size from a printers or print at home).

The pattern pieces on the full size file fit on two A0 sheets.

The A4 file has 32 pages that tile together, you print and cut them out then tape them together!

- Two sheet A0 file
- 1930s Singer 47 page sewing techniques book with construction and finishing techniques
