KAB, Jun. 15 – In a momentous event in Kabul City, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, Honorable Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, inaugurated five significant projects. Joining him at the ceremony was Maulvi Abdul Rasheed, the esteemed mayor of Kabul during his tenure.

Addressing the gathering, Honorable Mullah Sahib emphasized the paramount importance of security in a country’s development and expressed gratitude that the security situation, particularly in Kabul, has considerably improved. He highlighted the diligent efforts of Kabul Municipality in beautifying and organizing the city, thanks to the favorable security conditions.

During his address, the Deputy PM for Economic Affairs underscored that the completion of these projects would bring numerous benefits to the citizens of Kabul and alleviate the issue of overcrowding. One of the notable endeavors commenced on the same day is the construction of the north-west connecting road of Kabul, which is projected to be finished and operational within eighteen months. This road spans 7.5 kilometers in length and boasts a width of 30 meters. The project is estimated to cost 530 million Afghanis, and the expenses are being covered by the internal revenue of Kabul Municipality.

It is worth mentioning that the construction of this road will establish a direct link between the northern provinces of the country and the Kabul-Herat highway, facilitating enhanced connectivity and accessibility.
