Ok, this isn’t the most exciting coffee tool, but they make sense if like me you weigh your grounds and shoot for a consistent weight every time. What really made me happy is that I bought two and their empty weight is identical on my scale with 0.01gm resolution. That’s amazing, and means once I’ve tared the scale to one of them I can just go ahead and grind into both.
They use a nice clear plastic, are attractive and good to hold. One caution - I stupidly used my WDT tool near one and lightly scratched it (luckily this isn’t visible). Their description includes the word "tough", but of course steel needles versus plastic…well, not a fair contest.
Very happy and would buy again without hesitation.

Nice 54mm dosing cup and funnel!
I am relatively new to making espresso and I am learning how all these accessories make your life better when making espresso.We recently got a Breville Infuser espresso machine and we use a manual grinder. Trying to get the ground espresso from our grinder to our 54 mm portafilter has been a bit messy and more time consuming than I had anticipated.The espresso grounds mound high over the portafilter basket which makes distributing and tamping the grounds a bit of a challenge.So here comes this dosing cup and funnel. The dosing cup is lightweight plastic and I can easily weigh my coffee beans then transfer them to my hand grinder.Then I put the dosing cup and funnel together with my portafilter basket and flip it over and the grounds are in the basket. But here's the thing -- the dosing cup & funnel don't screw together so there is a gap & when I flip it over some of the grounds get in between the dosing cup & funnel, so that's not perfect.Then I remove the dosing cup from the funnel and then I can fit my needle distributor tool to break up any clumps and distribute the espresso grounds. Finally I press down with my tamper, remove the funnel from my portafilter and I’m ready to put the portafilter into my espresso maker, press a button and make a delicious cup or two of espresso (yay!).My favorite thing about this is the funnel as now I can properly distribute the grounds (as the coffee grounds pile over the portafilter until tamped). So for that alone I am really happy with this.
