Print Public Residency Program

Print Public – Municipal Artist-in-Residence Program

Kala, in partnership with Berkeley Civic Arts, welcomes the 2023-2024 cohort of the Print Public municipal artist-in-residence program.

This year the Print Public Municipal Artist-in-Residence supports two artists with concurrent 16-month artist residencies with Kala and with City of Berkeley’s Planning Department. Cheryl Derricotte is paired with Katie Van Dyke and the Pilot Climate Equity Action Fund and Marcel Pardo Ariza is paired with Robert Rivera and the San Pablo Avenue Specific Plan.

Special thanks to the City of Berkeley and UC Berkeley Chancellor’s Community Partnership Fund for their support of this program and thanks to our project partners UC Berkeley’s College of Environmental Design: Department of City & Regional Planning and the City of Berkeley Planning Department and Civic Arts Program for collaborating this cycle with us.
