A 4-week program designed to help Hispanic family caregivers lower out-of-pocket costs of caregiving for a loved one living with Dementia.

Join the University of Southern California Family Caregiver Support Center for a virtual program designed to help Latino and Hispanic family caregivers address the financial aspects of caregiving. Over 4 weeks, caregivers will meet in group sessions led by a trained facilitator to discuss topics such as: how to navigate community resources, strategies for seeking help, how to balance employment and caregiving, and more! You will also receive a free informational workbook, either by mail or a digital version, depending on your preference.


Caregivers will also receive access to an web-based app, NeuViCare, to receive informational text messages, access text-based information, access a community hub, and complete activities in the app. Use of this app is optional but highly encouraged as a part of the program.


Group sessions will take place over Zoom video conference and will last 1.5 hours each. Below are the scheduled dates and times:


• April 18th, 2 pm to 4 pm Pacific Time

• April 25th, 2 pm to 4 pm Pacific Time

•May 2nd, 2 pm to 4 pm Pacific Time

• May 9th, 2 pm to 4 pm Pacific Time

Use of personal information for evaluation purposes:

When registering for this program, please know we request some demographic information. Providing this information is optional. This information will be used to identify the characteristics of caregivers most interested in the CONFIDENCE program. In addition, some Zoom discussion sessions you participate in may be recorded for the evaluation. Demographic information from program registration, session recordings, and attendance information will be shared with researchers at Case Western Reserve University, even if you are not enrolled in the study.


Optional study participation opportunity:

The USC Family Caregiver Support Center is currently partnering with Case Western Reserve University to learn more about how the CONFIDENCE program may benefit caregivers and how we can improve this program. You may indicate if you would like to participate in an optional research study when you register. Please indicate if you are interested in this optional study while registering, or email confidence@case.edu


Optional participation in app-enhanced version of CONFIDENCE:

If you would like to use the optional NeuViCare app as a part of your participation, such as to receive reminders about group sessions and activities, you must agree to the terms of use and privacy notice. Users are responsible for all SMS and data use charges while using the app based on their carrier and plan. Information about your use of this app will also be shared with Case Western Reserve University researchers. Note that study participation requires the use of this app.
