We are delighted to be taking the first step towards Stoneybatter becoming a Sustainable Energy Community/ SEC. We're looking forward to finding out more about how we use energy locally, & how we might swap to more sustainable energy habits and sources. This launch will be the first in a series of events where the wider community can find out more about SECs, and the benefits of getting involved. Our local Dublin City SEC mentor Ger Doherty will talk us through some of the potential positive outcomes for our community, including:
Lowering our energy bills
Making our homes and local buildings more comfortable and energy efficient
Boosting local employment
Building energy knowledge within the community
Making our community a leader in sustainable energy
Positively contributing to climate action at a local level
