Apple wants to know how the FBI cracked the San Bernardino iPhone without them.

Apple refused to help the feds unlock the phone that belonged to one of the shooters.

The company argued it would threaten the security of its customers.

The Justice Department tried to force Apple to comply in court.

But that changed on Monday, when they announced that got in the phone, but they didn’t say how.

Now Apple’s attorneys want to legally compel the FBI to reveal how it was done.

One possibility is to allege that a third party violated an Apple patent, or stole a trade secret, from the company.
