Too Hot To Handel Choir Pre-Registration

Auditions will be held on Tuesday, September 6th, 2022 from 7pm-9pm at Old St. Pat’s Church Hall – 700 W. Adams.  

During the audition, we will check in and meet together in Old St. Patrick’s Church Hall, warm up together, sing through two movements as a large group, and then break out to audition in small groups using excerpts from those two pieces.  It is not necessary to bring a piece for audition unless you would like to.

We ask that all participants commit to the following if accepted to join:
- Attendance at all 8 Monday rehearsals: 9/12, 19, 26; 10/3, 10, 17; and 11/7, 14, 21
- Attendance at the dress rehearsal(s) during the week prior to the December 3 & 4 performances: 11/30, 12/1 and 12/2
- Any scheduled or existing conflicts need to be communicated immediately.
- We will reserve the right to base continued participation on overall attendance.
- The score is provided for our convenience and is the property of the Auditorium Theatre. These must be returned the week of the performance.
Expectations and Guidelines
For rehearsals and performances, we ask all singers to agree to the following guidelines:
- The Auditorium Theatre (the venue) requires us to meet all CDC, state and city public health recommendations, as they now exist or as they may be in effect at the time of the performance.
- Although the venue may allow the chorus to perform without face masks, the venue expects that we will rehearse fully masked. Fully masked means a mask which securely covers our mouths and noses. This is subject to change based on future CDC recommendations, state and/or local government requirements.
- Covid-19 Vaccination. All participants are asked to be fully vaccinated with at least one booster and to provide proof of full vaccination prior to audition.
- Performances will be off book.
