Author Jothy Rosenberg Published His Very Own Story of Turning Disability into a Super Ability

Wayland, MA – WEBWIRE

This is an inspirational memoir of Jothy who’s been a two-time cancer-surviving amputee who turned disability into a super ability. “Who Says I Can’t,” deals with the challenge and adversity of losing his leg to bone cancer at age 16, then the cancer metastasized and he had to have a lung removed at 19 when he was told he had zero percent chance of surviving.

Rosenberg grew tired of only being “good considering” his disability. In the decades since he beat cancer, he has used athletics to overcome this social stigma. He conquered and went on to get a Ph. D. in computer science, was a serial entrepreneur starting nine high-tech start-ups, has authored three technical books, was a TED speaker, and became an extreme athlete. He cannot even count how many times people were certain he couldn’t do something that he then went on to do such as biking with just one leg from Boston to New York City three times, becoming a black-diamond amputee skier, and doing the Alcatraz Sharkfest swim 28 times. He learned to never say CAN’T and to adapt to and work hard at whatever he wanted to accomplish. It is adapt, focus, and work hard attributes that he most wants to convey to kids through Adventures on the Can Do Trail. Who Says He Can’t!

Through his stories, he shows that when the world says you can’t, courage and determination prove you can be more than “good considering.” You can be better than the rest. Not only that, you can use a positive attitude to inspire and stomp out stereotypes one leg at a time.

“The PMC coined the term Living Proof some 15 years ago. Nobody epitomizes that phrase, or our mission, better than Jothy Rosenberg. The challenges he has faced in his life have been hurdles, not walls, to leading a fulfilling life. In a world overflowing with hype and artifice, Jothy’s journey and triumph are real and inspirational. He is a true role model.”-- Billy Starr
