About the author

I'm a professional palmist and writer and yoga teacher, born in 1963, the eldest of five dyslexic, deranged and dysfunctional children. My mother had more than a drop of gypsy blood in her and my father was a war veteran, able to turn his hand to just about anything. Our first home was a tumbledown beach hut in Walbaswick, Suffolk, UK - then a remote village, cut off by the Orwell river and strong sea tide - a place of alluring sunsets and haunting mists. I was the first in our family to go to university back in 1985 and it was there that I first encountered palmistry via my yoga teacher who practiced an esoteric form of oriental palm reading. Though a total sceptic, I was amazed by the insight, power and depth that palmistry posssed - in many ways my life changed from then on. From 1990 I've practiced, studied and written about palmistry, it's a journey where you never stop growing and learning. I started writing books on palm reading out of sheer rage at the poor quallity and archaic nature of palmistry books out there. They all seemed to repeat the same old (and nonsensical) predictive ideas, and all were obsessed with the lines and markings. The palm isn't a predictive tool. It's a window into the deeper psychology of a person. In a ten minute study of the palm, you can learn more about a someone than by being aquainted with them for 10 years. Rather than a palm reading being about your future or your fate, it's about seeing into yourself and knowing who you truly are........
