PILOT ROCK — The Pilot Rock High School athletics program has opened a website. It features the Rockets' sports schedules and video highlights of games.
"We announced on Facebook the site was up and running on Jan. 10," Athletic Director Tyler Zyph said.
The reason behind building the website was to provide a better way to communicate with the community, families and fans, Pilot Rock High School Principal David Norton said.
"We worked with game scheduling software rSchoolToday to set up the Pilot Rock website," he said. "During COVID, a lot of gyms got cameras. Video is available on our site. Parents who can't make it to games can watch on their phones or other devices. It's cool. Relatives in Utah can watch. The Watch Tab is linked to the (National Federation of State High School Associations) sports network, which broadcasts games."Â
Norton used Zoom meetings with rSchoolToday to set up Pilot Rock and Oregon School Activities Association information on the website and upload pictures.
