How do you top what is arguably one the the smartest and perhaps even the best action movies of all time? Well you don't, so don't bother trying. Instead, make something like Die Hard 2, which is fully aware that it is a sequel to a movie that action movies it cannot possibly beat, and is totally fine with that. That's (blog post) not to say the movie isn't great itself, but... well.. I articulate myself a hell of a lot better on camera, it seems.
