Sarah Siddons

Post by editorsfoot »

I've heard a rumour that Sarah Siddons is running from Neasden to Amersham next Sunday as it is being handed back to LU ownership.

Anyone got anymore information?

Hrm...I'll have to see if I can "acquire" copies of the Weekly Traffic Circular from work, as it SHOULD appear in there.

Last I saw her, she was stabled at Ruislip depot, along with the coaching stock they used for "Steam on the Met".

Cheers,

Barry

Thanks, other connected people have said that Sarah should be out and about daily, something to do with S stock familiarisation ( :!: :?: ), but this has been put back to June. Seemingly it is Sarah, a 4TC and a class 20.

I know all of the class was named after people connected with Metroland in some way. Was Oliver Cromwell renamed for being too controversial?

Another rumour, or more than a rumour, is that the 38 stock from Acton is running a rail tour on 24 June, Golders Green - Kennington Loop - Golders Green. £20 was a bit too steep for a trip around the loop. This was also the day for the now cancelled Golders Green open day.

Right, more 'unreliable' evidence is that an internal notice has been issued for 10 June, Sarah will pass through Harrow on the Hill just after noon to go to Amerhsam for an hours recess to Watford for about 14.00 to return to Harrow for 14.30 then back to Ruislip Depot.

Sarah is alive and well I saw her yesterday on the Alphabet Challenge shuttling outside Neasden Depot, it was pulling three old BR maroon coaches and a class 20.
