  1. Not a Rogan fan. Did not listen to the entire interview. However, I listened enough to say that Dave Smith is correct. Before 9/11, a journalist and former CIA analyst wrote a book. It was Called “Blowback”. There was a prediction that what we are doing (as well as has done) at some point will come home to roost. It was derided ad nonsense. After 9/11, the book flew off the the shelves. Books by George Kennan and others, years ago, painted a very grim picture should the idiots in Washington pursue adding more nations to NATO, right up to Russia’s border, the most important red line being Ukraine. Well. Here we are. As the late Kurt Vonnegut would say; so it goes.

    1. “Nyet Means Nyet” entitled the January 2008 memo then US Russia ambassador William Burns wrote SOS Condoleezza Rice after a meeting with FM Sergey Lavrov in which Lavrov stressed Russia viewed NATO’s continued eastward expansion, particularly to Ukraine and Georgia, as a potential military threat. A later 2008 memo to Rice Burns wrote ”Ukrainian entry into NATO is the brightest of all redlines for the Russian elite (not just Putin). … I have yet to find anyone who views Ukraine in NATO as anything other than a direct challenge to Russian interests.”

That our cretinous clown car collective of western dysfunction are full-speed careering us into an unprecedented social and economic disaster may well be the best potential outcome on our horizon.
