Cells C6 and D5 are the
lpm and gpm of water output estaimated based upon past drilling in alluvial
areas.
Cells E6 and E7 are
quanties of water per 12 hour period based upon the output in cells C7 and
D6.
Cells G5 and G6 are the
suggested volume per person per day in liters or gallons per min.
Cells I5 and I6 are the
number of persons served if the serving size is divided into the liters or
gallons per day produced by the average well output.

Green Boxes 1-6 explained
Green box 1--- Cell B14- Insert the number of persons that are
anticipated to need water throughout the world. Columns B15 througn B20 may
be filled with different regions of the world or the total for the world. In
the next column in cell C15 - C20 insert the percentages that may be used to
represent the areas in column B and may be edited as long as the percent does
not exceed 100 in cell C21. Column, D is for future use. Column, E15 - E20 are values when pecentages in column C15 -
C20 are multiplied times the value in B14.
Green box 2 --- Insert in green box 2, cell F14, the number of persons to share each
well. The number cannot exceed the
value in cells I6 or i7. Serving size is the reccomended volume of water that
is set for per-person use by governments. That value takes into consideration
the lpm or gpm capacity of the wells. The wells gpm and lpm are dependent on
the method of drilling, and capacity of the aquifer. The numbers in cells G15
- G21 are the number of wells that will be required based upon an average
number of persons to be furnished water from each well as shown in cell F14.
Cells F15 through F20 are the number of wells required per region and F21 is
the total wells required.
Green box 3-- Enter into cell G14 the number of verified wells
drilled per year by a crew in similar aquifers. Cells G15 - G20 are the number of crews
and rigs needed and are derived by dividing the values in cells F15 -
F20 (with a total in F21), by the
proven number of wells per year in cell G14. The answer in cell H21 will
represent the number of crews required per year to drill the number of wells
in F15-F20 or F21.
Green box 4 -- Insert in cell H14 the desired number of years to
return the number of crews that work each year, in each location, to attain
the number of persons served in cell B14. Cells H15 - H20 show the number of
crews per year to reach the goal shown in Cell B14.
Green Box 5 -- Enter in cell I14 the number of dollars in
overhead to install wells in similar alluvial plains to India. In cells J15
through J20 the values entered are the actual cost to install wells in the
similar alluvial plains of India. In cells K15 through K20 the sheet returns
the value of the cells in I15 - I20 added to J15 - J20 and then multiplied by
the values in cells F15 - f20 then the totals are divided by the value in
cell h14. The result is found in cells
K14 - K20 and is the cost per year based on the similar alluvial
plains of India.
Green box 6 --- In cell L14, insert the cost of training a crew
by local crews that have previously been trained by training program. In
cells L14 - L20 multiply the cost to train in cell L14 times the number of
crews in cells H15 - H20.
The value in red cell K21 must be multiplied by the value in
cell H15 to yield the number of USD in cell K22
The value in yellow and blue cells may be edited.
