Elaine and Mike
Local Legend says that Henry VIII gifted Harefield Hall to a staunch supporter during the dissolution of the monasteries in the 1500's and whilst driving down the narrow lane towards this beautiful, remote ancient building, you feel a definite sense of history. Harefield Hall incorporates a warm and relaxed atmosphere with wood-paneling, real log fire and period dining room with dark floorboards and floor-to-ceiling sash windows, which afford magnificent views over beautiful Nidderdale. Being an over 16's venue and nestled in 28 Acres of majestic woodland, Harefield Hall is the perfectly peaceful place to 'get away from it all'. Being a small independently run family business, we don't stand on ceremony here, rather we like to welcome you to the family and make you feel at home.
Mike and Elaine are the Owners of Harefield Hall, with many years experience in the hospitality industry they believe in a very 'hands on approach' to their beloved business. Mike is the Head Chef and his honest, wholesome approach to his menu is welcomed by regular visitors and occasional guests alike. Elaine takes very tentative care of the 'front of house' running of Harefield Hall, always happy to help and make your stay a relaxing and enjoyable experience. When they are not working in the Hall they can often be found tending to the grounds and gardens. To Mike and Elaine Harefield Hall represents a real 'labour of love'
Harefield Hall is set in a prominent position nestled in the woods high up on the side of the Nidderdale Valley. Nidderdale is the 'forgotten Dale' of the Yorkshire Dales which is what makes it one of the most sereen Dales to visit. There are many attractions within the dale including, Two Stoops, Brimham Rocks, Cold Stones Cut, Howstean Gorge, Nidderdale Museum not to mention the village of Pateley Bridge itself which was recently awarded the Best British High Street (Village Category) by the Great British High Street Awards. Just outside Nidderdale you can visit 'Stump Cross Caverns', 'Fountains Abbey and 'Malham Cove' and 'The Forbidden Corner' to name but a few great attractions. Harefield Hall is the perfect place to base yourself to explore the endless charms of theYorkshire Dales.
