Day Shift (vampires) film break-down

Jamie Foxx and Dave Franco are the stars of the new vampire hunting movie "Day Shift". The story follows a blue collar father who wants to provide a comfortable life for his daughter. However, his job as a pool cleaner in San Fernando Valley is just a façade for his true source of income: hunting and killing vampires for the International Union of Vampire Hunters.

The premise sounds fun, but can director J.J. Perry deliver?

Jamie Foxx shoots at an old lady who turns up to be a vamp in the opening scene of Day Shift. This leads to a hilarious fight between the two of them. I feel like the movie really has fun with this kind of rag-doll physics in its action scenes, making those sequences pop in a way that a lot of the Netflix action movies (or action blockbusters these days) don't. When watching scenes like this it's easy to forget the old saying that "action speaks louder then words". However, I believe part of what makes "Day Shift so successful is its ability to combine dialogue and action to advance the plot and character development. For example, after Jamie Foxx's character finally kills the vampire, he has a hilariously dry exchange with his partner about how he "thought she was going to turn into a bat or something." It is moments like these that elevate "Day Shift," over other movies of the same genre.

Day Shift was another film I enjoyed. It's a fun and light-hearted film that I found enjoyable. I didn't think about it too much. There was great action that was new and it was enjoyable to watch. It had humor, and I was able to laugh out loud quite a bit. It did draw inspiration from some brilliant vampire films, such as Blade and Lost Boys. These films are also some my favorites. The acting was strong, the direction was superb and the cinematography excellent. Day Shift is a film that's both entertaining and lighthearted. It's great fun.

Day Shift is a mixed film. One side is that there are lots of action scenes and some funny characters (the brothers and Seth), while the villain was awful and a lot poor characters. Although it helps the best characters shine, I think Day Shift is mixed. It seemed like there were missing scenes that were not cut. Bud's neighbor acts like they're friends, even though before the final scene she maybe had 3 minutes of screen time. Bud's prank phone calling at the gas station was the best moment of the movie. It was hilarious, vampire movie review and I loved watching it. However, the movie didn't end as well. Day Shift has a mixed record. There are parts that are fantastic and others that are horrible. If you're looking to laugh, this movie could be your best choice.

Snoop Dogg makes the whole movie worth watching. I mean, who doesn't love Snoop Dogg? He's the embodiment of cool.
