PROBLEM CONCLUSION:
A blank character in a Liberty server's path causes the JVM option that is used to enable verbose garbage collection logging to be split into two JVM options. The JVM does not recognize the options and emits an error, causing the server to not start.
The server start scripts are updated to have quotes around the JVM option used to enable verbose garbage collection.
