Salary: £Market THE FIRM A leading European IP firm. THE ROLE A Trade Mark Attorney to handle issues relating to the protection and enforcement of trade marks, designs, copyright and unfair competition law. This will include custom seizure matters, filing strategies and IP related contracts Your role will include inter alia: Researching existing trade marks and designs to advise on availability Guiding clients through the legal aspects of introducing new products to the market Conducting clearance searches and advising on results Drawing up contracts and overseeing the trade mark and design registration process Directly filing and prosecuting UK, and international trade mark applications before the UKIPO and WIPO Handling opposition, revocation and invalidation proceedings before the UKIPO Working with overseas associates to prosecute and manage Oppositions, Cancellation actions, litigation and/or other matters in overseas territories Advising on and handling domain name disputes and Company Names Tribunal proceedings ABOUT YOU A Chartered Trade Mark Attorney with 2-4pqe, you will also be registered as a European Trade Mark Attorney (EU nationality would be a bonus, but is not a requirement) With experience in the field of soft IP, ideally in an international or IP boutique law firm, you will be fluent in English; other language skills will be welcomed and encouraged. A motivated team player, you will be keen to assume responsibility in a growing multi-cultural, multi-lingual, international team from day one, as well as have a “hands on” mentality.
