The first half of 2021 saw the European Parliament working to end the pandemic and set the EU on the road to recovery. A greener and fairer EU, open and constructive relations with the rest of the world and protecting Europeans against Covid-19 were on the agenda. Vaccines, facilitating safe travel, climate change...

Nearly a year into the Covid-19 pandemic,

Parliament supported the speedy authorisation

of safe jabs and backed their joint purchase

to ease travel restrictions between EU countries.

"The fundamental pillar of the European Union

committing to climate neutrality by 2050,

backing funds for environmental programmes like LIFE

and biodiversity and circular economy goals for 2030.

With the United Kingdom no longer an EU member,

it was time to rethink the EU-UK relationship.

Parliament ratified the Trade and Cooperation Agreement.
