West Virginia Gov. Jim Justice used incendiary rhetoric in his speech at the Republican National Convention — just days after Republicans began calling for unity, following the attempted assassination of their nominee.
“The bottom line for why we’re here, the bottom line to every single thing going on in this great country today, is one thing,” Justice said on Tuesday night. “We become totally unhinged if Donald Trump is not elected in November.”
Both sides of the political aisle have been calling for politicians to tone down hostile language after former President Donald Trump was wounded during a rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday.
The shooting left one rally attendee dead and two others seriously wounded.
