RoboCop

The 1987 film Robocop is violent, rude, and cheesy. Peter Weller plays the lead character. In the first twenty minutes, a group of bad guys introduce and kill Weller. One of the main characters suffers from toxic waste, and then he dies after being struck by a truck and causes it to explode. This isn’t random violence. It’s related to the story and main idea. Robocop takes place in a future Detroit that is plagued by crime and where the police cannot restore order. A large company joins forces with the police to sell and make new military gear. The company will clean up the streets, make money, and make it possible to build a new, high-end (read...) part of the city.
