(Sunday, September 23, 2007)

Meeting type:Social event
Date:Sunday, September 23, 2007
Time:3.00pm - 7.00pm
Description:

This is a social event with a political theme, and you are welcome to attend. This happens to coincide with Mings "Community Canvass week" and you may want to invite new members to come along as well.
The theme is "Multicultural London; A success storey?" The multicultural aspect of London has been such a success that London has become a tourist attraction, sometimes for that reason alone. But the balance sheet is not so straight forward, and different communities have had different levels of successes and failures.
Liberal Democrats too face a contradiction that they have always had excellent policies, but not enough recognition.
Come along, enjoy the day, and find out more about different communities in London.
Please pay in advance, £5 or £3 for low income. On the day it costs £10.
You can pay by paypal here; http://www.hackneylibdems.org.uk/events.php
