Now in a new Channel 4 documentary, filmmaker Arthur Bruel spoke to the tattoo fan about his journey.

Anthony has amassed a huge following with over 1million fans on Instagram where he documents his transformation.

From inked eyeballs to a green forked tongue, the body modification fan discussed his "Black Alien Project".

But the new doc also revealed that Anthony's most radical procedure is still to come.

He plans to amputate one of his legs to replace it with a robotic one.

It also shines a light on the emotional and psychological motivations behind Anthony's body choices.

The short clip of the doc also looks at historic photographs before ever having any work done.

Anthony says he used to be a "very sexy guy" but felt he had to transform himself because it was "not [his] real body".

In The Black Alien Project, Arthur obtains access to Anthony's personal life and the people behind his procedures.

He tracks him down in Mexico then begins an unlikely friendship with the extreme body modification fan.

Arthur said: "When I first got in touch with Anthony to see if he'd be interested in talking with me about his extraordinary life, I could never have imagined that I'd end up travelling to Mexico.

"I spent so much time with him, forming a remarkable bond that gave me an eye-opening insight into why Anthony and others modify their bodies to such a striking extent.

"This documentary raises questions about the ethics of plastic surgery and its impact on our society, and also explores the importance of self-acceptance and the right to self-determination."

"But in the main, it tells the true, unfiltered story – not of a 'black alien' – but of Anthony Loffredo, the real human being behind the headlines."

He previously revealed how he was "barred from restaurant spot" over his extreme look.

Speaking to LadBible TV, he said: "If I want to eat at a restaurant, sometimes the server says I can't eat on the terrace."

But he has come to terms that some people are "close minded", as "that's how it will be for all of humanity".
