RoboCop 1987

Robocop, a 1987 film, is violent, rude and cheesy. Peter Weller plays the lead character. In the first twenty minutes, a group of bad guys introduce and kill Weller. One of the main characters suffers from toxic waste, and then he dies after being struck by a truck and causes it to explode. But this isn’t random violence. It has to do the story and its main idea. In Robocop, the story takes place in a future Detroit where crime is out of hand and the police can't bring order back. A big company "partners" with the police and uses the crisis to make and sell new military gear, like combat robots that are meant to replace beat cops. The company will clean up and make money to make it possible for the construction of a new high-end (site) area in the city.
