We enjoyed a wonderful visit from Wilmslow Methodist Pre-school this week, with children trying their hands at lots of forest school activities with our brilliant early years staff.

Our young visitors had the chance to explore Gorsey Bank’s woodland area and had a go at mud-painting, digging, den-building and an exciting Gruffalo hunt.  They were so well-behaved and hard-working, gathering the biggest and strongest sticks for their fabulous shelters that we finished the day with a well-deserved round of hot chocolates and marshmallows.

We’re incredibly lucky to have such fantastic outdoor facilities at Gorsey Bank and were delighted to invite the pre-school to make use of the space and spend time in the great outdoors.

As well as forest school, we have a multi-use games area (MUGA) for all-weather play and two adventure playgrounds, one designed for KS1 pupils, and the Grizedale to provide more challenging play opportunities for KS2.

We really enjoyed having Wilmslow Methodist Pre-school to visit and hope to welcome them back to school soon.
