State of the Stream for Feb 2024: Twitch remains steady, Jynxzi and RevedTV boosted by stream awards

Twitch’s daily hours watched remain above 2023
While the monthly hours watched took a dip because February is the shortest month of the year, the daily hours watched remained close to January’s. More notable is how Twitch’s January and February daily hours stay above 2023's. It’s a good sign if this remains the new normal.
StreamElements co-founder Or Perry had this to say about the latest uptick:
“Since Twitch’s overall hours watched are impacted by the days of the month, the daily hours watched are a more accurate reflection of the platform’s momentum. With February almost on par with January and higher than the previous three quarters, this year will be a step up from the last one if they maintain this level of engagement.”
No top 10 surprises, but Helldivers 2 came close
The numbers of the top 10 categories on Twitch regularly fluctuate, but the names rarely change. February was no different, but Helldivers 2 made a valiant effort with its debut. It was the #14 game, with 19M hours watched.
Jynxzi wears several crowns in February
Jynxzi is having a moment. In addition to winning Best Breakthrough Streamer and Gamer of the Year at the Streamer Awards, he was the top streamer on Twitch. This included having the most hours watched and the highest average concurrent viewership. A lot of his viewership came from co-streaming the Streamer Awards.
Although it has a similar name, the Stream Awards co-hosted by RevedTV is a different event geared toward the German streamer market. Her 6-hours of co-hosting the popular event elevated her stream to the pole position for average concurrent viewers.
