RoboCop movie

RoboCop, the 1987 film is bloody and crude. Within the first twenty minutes, Peter Weller, who plays our protagonist, is introduced and brutally murdered by a group of thugs. A character is eventually killed by poisonous materials. Violence is not a gratuitous element of the narrative or thematic concerns. In RoboCop, crime has run rampant and the police are unable to stop it in a dystopian future Detroit. In order to profit from the current crisis, a multinational company "links" to the police by manufacturing and selling military hardware. This includes robots (updated article) that are designed to fight instead of human police officers. This firm will improve public safety, increase profits and create a new high-end neighborhood in the city.
