It's no secret that sequels to horror films are very popular, and many moviegoers are constantly on the lookout for the next big shock. But what happens when horror movie villains travel to space? In the Leprechaun horror movie series, Leprechaun 4: In Space is the underrated entry in the franchise. It is true that the action takes place in outer space; nonetheless, the fact that this is the case is precisely what makes it such a phenomenal work. Leprechaun 4 is the ideal illustration of how to take a completely absurd concept and transform it into something "unique." The movie is packed to the brim with hilarious Leprechaun lines, as well as innovative killings and practical effects that will have you rolling on the floor laughing. Watching Leprechaun 4: In Space is must viewing for anybody who like the previous films in the Leprechaun series or horror films in general.
Pinhead
The series' interesting continuation, Hellraiser: Bloodline, also acts as a prequel. The 1700s, the 1990s, and the 2200s are the three eras that the tale takes place in. Let's face it: I'm really just here for Pinhead and the other Cenobites, so I didn't have very high hopes for the fourth episode of the series. Doug Bradley retains that chilly, menacing, and demonic vibe, making it a delight to see him play. Who cares if this is tough to understand and makes no sense? Bloodline is worth seeing even if you've watched Hellraiser in its entirety because of the gruesome Pinhead moments. Definitely give this one a look if you like Hellraiser or any of Clive Barker's previous books. Even if there isn't a lot of logic to it, the trip is quite enjoyable.
Critters
When I found out that Critters 4 was going to take place in outer space, I have to confess that the prospect piqued my interest. I mean, there's no way they can surpass the quality of the previous Critters flicks, is there? After that, though, I looked over the cast list, and I simply couldn't get excited about it. Brad Dourif? Angela Bassett? And what about a well-known Danish actor by the name of Anders Hove? It was impossible for me to fathom how this scenario might possibly play out.
And when I eventually saw Critters 4, my worries were validated. It was merely a rip-off of other properties with a horrible setting and a bad tale with awful characters. The exact elements that made the prior entries special and enjoyable are either entirely stripped out or just absent, which is what truly stings from the fan's standpoint. Dracula
Dracula 3000 is one of those rare awful horror films that is so horrible it's practically impossible to see. I really dislike Dracula 3000. Even if it's terrible throughout, my primary complaint is that the finale horror sequels in space was a horrible cop-out that left me completely disappointed. "Dracula in Space" was supposed to be so awful it's good, but instead it was so bad it was dreadful. The notion is entertaining, but the performance is poor and the conversation is awful. If you want to feel unhappy for the rest of the day, I suggest viewing it.
Also, Coolio. It stars Coolio. Did I mention that?
Jason Voorhees
Jason X is the most well-known horror film sequel in which the villain travels to space. Jason Voorhees is the man, the tale, and the myth. It makes no difference how he arrived into space. Nobody cares why he's in space. All that counts is that Jason is in space, ready to cause mayhem.
I think Jason X is entertaining to watch for the transformation of Jason into Uber Jason as well as the Easter eggs and throwbacks to prior Friday the 13th flicks.
Although this film isn't for everyone, aficionados of campy, cheesy slasher flicks will like it.
