THE ROLE
In the Construction team where the work comprises mainly contentious matters acting for clients such as developers, major corporations, funders, contractors, sub-contractors, construction consultants, local authorities, registered providers of social housing and PFI consortia.
The team is involved in some of the largest construction disputes in the social housing sector which are often in the spotlight of the national media. They have a thriving adjudication practice and a number of cases in the Technology and Construction Court.
ABOUT YOU
A lawyer 3-8pqe with a mainly contentious construction background, you will be looking to join a collegial and successful team going from strength-to-strength.
You will possess the experience to advise on every aspect of construction contracts (e.g. payments, extensions of time, loss and expense, defects, procurement and insurance issues) and to draft submissions for adjudication and arbitration proceedings.
With strong academics, you will be a motivated lawyer who has enthusiasm for business development and building the business.
