63 Images stitched with PTAssembler. One of my largest stitched images, this contains about 340 megapixels (Image size: 21008x16221 pixels). Here's what the 63 source images looked like before stitching them together. Here are some crops from the full-sized image after stitching. It was taken about two years after the other photograph of the National Building interior in this gallery, with a different camera, and is from the other end of the building. Each exposure was 1 second, and was taken with a 145mm lens (35mm equivalent value). The final image covers a field of view of about 90 degrees...roughly equivalent to the field of view captured by an 18mm lens on a 35mm camera. It took me 15 minutes to take the pictures necessary for this mosaic, and the light inside the buidling was changing constantly because the sun was moving between the clouds. As a result, I had to spend a lot more time than I had anticipated to blend the individual frames of this image. |
