I tried to install XPE SP1 on a single PC (Windows XP Pro + SP2).
The SP1 is downloaded from microsoft web site.
Tools and database engine is installed, but can not install database.
The status is 'Setting the value for 'cmiRepRootPath'.
The error message : Setup has detected that other applications are currently
using the component database. You should close all applications which are
using the database before continuing.
Who know what is wrong?

thanks

Feng

Feng,

Do you have the latest MDAC installed on your computer?
Make sure you don't run any AV software.
Verify that you have the latest WSH (5.6) installed there.

2.WSH 6.5
3.MSDE2000 SP4
4.Database in XPE SP1
5.Tools in XPE SP1
6.XPE SP2 (Tools,MSDE,DATABASE)

My machine has XP Pro SP2; WSH is 5.6 (if that's the same thing as
wscript.exe); and when I tried to get MDAC 2.8 (or whatever the latest
is), it said my PC doesn't need it because its components are already
part of Windows.

But I get the same error message that Feng reported, while trying to
install the Xp Embedded Database Components.

The ERRORLOG says (for example):
2007-06-05 11:19:27.21 spid52 Starting up database 'MantisSQLDB'.
2007-06-05 11:19:27.26 spid52 Attempting to rebuild primary log file
for database MantisSQLDB.
2007-06-05 11:19:27.37 spid52 New log file C:\Windows Embedded
Data\MantisSQLDB_log.LDF built.

And then it gets the error.

Apparently MantisSQLDB is what it is trying to install, because I never
created such a thing (nor do any files exist for this database yet).

Any ideas?
