What is Summit?
Summit is a multi-day virtual conference including workshops, keynotes, culturals, and community building activities bringing together and further uniting our Northern California Pil-am collegiate student network. Under the pandemic, we've seen our organizations struggle to adapt to our changing conditions and persevere to serve our community's needs.

Summit aims to bring together Filipino youth and students in NCPASA and across NorCal for dialogue surrounding the contemporary issues of our community, contextualizing our Pil-Am identity, and involving ourselves in social change for our people!

What is the Summit Committee?

The Summit Committee will work alongside with NCPASA Eboard to anchor the programming and logistics of the Summit conference by overseeing the planning implementation leading up to Summit. You will be able to join sub-committees (see below) as a way to contribute to Summit!

Who can apply?

Any student at any of the Northern California colleges. You do not need to be an organization under NCPASA to apply!  
Must be able to attend the NCPASA Summit planning meetings (time/date: TBD)

Summit Sub-Committees
As part of Summit Committee, you will be able to join sub-committees to help with the overall planning leading up to Summit

Fundraising Committee:
- establish fundraising plan or budget list for Summit
- develop philanthropy plan
- track expenses/donations/honorariums/merchandise
- identify businesses to sponsor summit

Media Committee:
- design flyers, social media graphics
- create Summit program
- designed merchandise such as totes, buttons, shirts, postcards, etc
- work alongside outreach committee to prop Summit across Pil-Am collegiate networks/community organizations in Northern California

Workshop Committee:
- provides the schedule of workshops during Summit
- contact potential workshop facilitators from collegiate, national, or community organizations
- create workshop sign-up forms
- recruit workshop volunteers (timekeeper, technical support)

Logistics + Program Committee:
- contact potential speakers, headliners, emcees, or performers from individuals in NCPASA's collegiate memberships or other community organizations
- establish the internal program of the duration of Summit
- create and oversee volunteer sign-ups
- organize volunteer/emcee orientation

Outreach Committee:
- creates outreach plan for Summit
- track memberships and community organizations about Summit
- coordinates alongside sub-committees to support contacting community organizations to attend, volunteer, endorse, sponsor, perform, etc.
- create and oversees registration of attendees
