AF Library Pet Parade & Adoption Event
The Pet Parade will begin at 11am on Saturday, May 14, 2022. It will follow a short route around Robinson Park and the Library. You and your pet(s) may complete the route as many times as you wish. Anyone can come to view the parade and cheer for the animals! Participants may pick up registration packets/line up and spectators may begin assembling at 10am.  We will have a photographer documenting the event and will share the photos with you. Please let us know if you prefer we don't take or use photos of you and/or your pets.

Immediately following the parade, there will be a Pet Adoption Event as well as booths with local authors and pet related businesses! Dogs available for adoption will be in the Park and cats will be in the
new Children's Room. There will also be booths with local pet related businesses for you to check out, as well as a low cost pet vaccination clinic!

All well-behaved pets (and their well-behaved owners) can register to be in the parade! Last year we had dogs, cats, ferrets, a hamster in a tutu and even a fish! Each entrant will get a "race bib" name tag showing your pet's name (up to 2 pets per name tag). All pets MUST remain under your control, either on a leash or in a cage/kennel for the duration of the event. Costumes for you and/or your pet(s) are welcome, but not required. There will be prizes and treats for costumes, tricks, good behavior and more!
