Paul addresses a cultural issue that at first glance may seem to not apply to us - but it applies very directly!
Self-reflection:
Read 1 Corinthians 8. What are the equivalent situations in my daily life? Am I causing a brother with a weakness to stumble? Are there areas where I need to grow theologically to truly enjoy liberty in Christ more fully?
With your family:
In what ways are your children the ones with the “weakness”? Are there ways you need to curb your legitimate freedom in Christ in order to help them grow closer to Him?
With your small group:
Next week, we will continue in our way through 1 Cor with chap 9.
