BBQ is OK, right???

Paul addresses a cultural issue that at first glance may seem to not apply to us - but it applies very directly!

 Discovery Questions

Self-reflection:

Read 1 Corinthians 8. What are the equivalent situations in my daily life? Am I causing a brother with a weakness to stumble? Are there areas where I need to grow theologically to truly enjoy liberty in Christ more fully?

With your family:

In what ways are your children the ones with the “weakness”? Are there ways you need to curb your legitimate freedom in Christ in order to help them grow closer to Him?

With your small group:

  1. Read 1 Corinthians 8.
  2. What stands out to you in these verses? Why?
  3. What bothers you about these verses? Why?
  4. Discuss the self-reflection question above.
  5. How can your small group help one another in this?
  6. Given this passage, what should you do this week?
