We are called to be a church, more than just a bunch of Christians
We begin walking through 1 Corinthians to focus on being the church that God called us to be.
Discovery Questions
Self-reflection:
Read 1 Corinthians 1.
- What is the call to be a church really?
- How am I already equipped? What do I need more equipping for?
- How is my completion in Christ achieved in a church context?
- How can I communicate Christ crucified more consistently?
- In what ways am I limiting myself to what my flesh can accomplish?
With your family:
Find one project for your family to do together as being part of the church. Be sure to help your children see how the activity connects to being church. It can be with one of the church programs, or it can be something you find on your own.
With your small group:
- Read 1 Corinthians 1.
- What stands out to you in these verses? Why?
- What bothers you about these verses? Why?
- Discuss the self-reflection question(s) above.
- Given this passage, what should you do this week?
