VOLUNTEERING OPPORTUNITIES for Sidley young people aged 13-16 years, receiving free school meals, funded by East Sussex County Council and Department for Education.
Each day of volunteering available for 6 young people, which includes FREE lunch and refreshments and will be rewarded with a voucher to spend.
Volunteering involves supporting FREE Holiday food and fun for families receiving free school meals.
A Heart of Sidley project in partnership with Bexhill Family Collective, Culture Shift, Fit and Fab Families and Sidley Cricket Club.

Age 13 - 16 years volunteering options

These volunteer opportunities are appropriate for children aged between 13 and 16 years old who receive FREE SCHOOL MEALS. Ideally all 4 days should be attended, but commitment to a minimum of 2 days volunteering is required.

Please choose which 2 or 4 days you would like to volunteer (select all that apply). All sessions will be based at All Saints Primary School, Sidley. Time = 9am to 3pm. Please choose at least 2 days or all 4 if you like: *

Monday 20th Dec = Age 8 - 12 years: 1 x day of Cricket, Baking & Making - An exciting day of fun games & activities with Heart of Sidley, Sidley Cricket Club, Bexhill Family Collective and Fit & Fab Families, including cricket ball games, crafts, food fun & more!

Tuesday 21st Dec = Age 4 - 7 years: 1 x day of Balance, Baking & Making - An exciting day of fun games & activities with Heart of Sidley, Bexhill Family Collective and Fit & Fab Families, including balance bikes, crafts, food fun & more!

Wednesday 22nd Dec = Age 8 - 12 years: 1 x day of Space to Create - Creative Arts with artist, illustrator and musician Ed Boxall & a number of other artist colleagues from Culture Shfit. Children on this session can expect to play games, be outdoors and in, and do lots of new creative stuff.

Thursday 23rd Dec = Age 4 - 7 years: 1 x day of Space to Create - Creative Arts with artist, illustrator and musician Ed Boxall & a number of other artist colleagues from Culture Shift. Children on this session can expect to play games, be outdoors and in, and do lots of new creative stuff.

I understand my child is expected to attend all 4 days and Culture Shift & Heart of Sidley aren't able to offer the places to other children. I give permission for my child to take part in our chosen Sidley Festive Fun 2021 activities and will ensure that they understand that it is important for their safety and for the safety of others that any rules and instructions given by the staff are adhered to. HAF (holiday activities & food) privacy statement

In order to administer the HAF programme in the winter, it is necessary for us to process limited personal data about you and your child. We will only process the data we need to run the programme effectively, for example names, contact information and any medical details required to keep your child safe. We are also required to share limited personal data with East Sussex County Council, as the organisation commissioning the programme. This will be limited to name and DoB of your child and will be used to confirm their eligibility for free HAF provision. This data will only be retained for the duration of the winter programme and will be securely destroyed once the programme is over. For more information please refer to our full privacy notice.

Please complete & submit this form by Wednesday 1st December. Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis. There are on average 6 places for each activity. We will then confirm places with you by 10th December. After 12th December call Catherine (07796 306995) at Culture Shift or Tanya (07866 046106) at Heart of Sidley to see if there are still places or email hafsidley@gmail.com.
