We are calling for 1000 fathers to stand up on June 11th! Crime has been rising over the past few years in our county, especially among young men, and fathers must stand up to be a big part of the solution to ending violence in our neighborhoods. The 1000 Fathers Rally for Peace in Prince George's County will provide resources like job placement, expungement, physical and mental health services, small business and nonprofit information, legal assistance, social, family, and youth services, and much more. You'll also hear from an exciting and motivational array of speakers and entertainers. Food will be provided. Join Council Member Franklin and over 1000 fathers on June 11th as we rally for peace in Prince George's County!

Nationally renowned morning show host, radio DJ, film director, writer, and actor Russ Parr will be a headliner at the 1000 Fathers Rally for Peace in Prince George's County on Sunday, June 11, 2023, 3PM-6PM (doors open at 2PM) at Showplace Arena (indoors), 14900 Pennsylvania Avenue, Upper Marlboro, MD 20772. Parr is heard weekdays by more than 3.2 million listeners in 45 U.S. cities, including Majic 102.3 - 92.7 here in the DC area. Russ Parr will also be joined by Praise 104.1 radio host Cheryl Jackson and Radio One's DJ A&G, DJ Face, and musical performers Charles Butler & Trinity. Maryland Governor Wes Moore and Prince George's County Executive Angela Alsobrooks will also headline the speakers at the 1000 Fathers Rally.
