Here are three lists of former East Faculty, Administration, Staff, & Coaches found on & off Facebook, living & deceased, from the years 1966-1971. Plus a few from Heritage Jr. High School 1965-67, and one from elementary school too.

This document originally started life as a FaceBook (FB) Notes page on the class Community page at https://www.facebook.com/east.1971/ . Any strange lingo below references FB, and ‘liking’ and commenting should still be done at the original Note on FB at https://tinyURL.com/71faculty . This Google doc was created on 10/31/20 when FB shut down the ability to edit/update Note pages. So while the original Note on FB is now out-of-date in favor of this doc, the Comments on FB are alive and well and awaiting your remarks.

I seek additions, corrections, and remembrances. Let me know of anyone who should be moved from list 3 (Living) to 1 (on FB) and/or 2 (all Deceased), or from 1 (on FB) added to 2 (all Deceased), or 2 (deceased) added to 1 (was on FB). Those found on FB will remain in list 1 (on FB) even if added to list 2 (all Deceased).

Photos from our senior yearbook for all are in the FB Comments below (some waaay below). Click on each photo to enlarge. The photos in the Comments on the original FB version of this Notes list are different than the photos on this replacement Google document! The photos on FB are primarily from the 1971 yearbook while the photos on this Google doc are primarily from the 1970 yearbook. Some faculty have multiple photos I posted to the FB version.

The original FB Notes list & Comments also has names, photos and info of living faculty/etc. who are not on FB, some of whom I met at the two East Athletic Hall of Fame Banquets I attended in November 2018 & 19. (2020 was cancelled due to Covid.) Those people are in the process of being copied over to list 3 below.

The 1970 yearbook doesn’t specify the subject one taught, just the Department. If you know the specific subject(s) one taught (e.g., algebra, art, Home Ec, Russian, chemistry, fluid power mechanics) or team coached, please let me know so I can update below.

Since East & West started their Boys Soccer program our Freshman year (1967-68), I wonder if he was the first Soccer coach at West in 1967? Robert Hartman was the first soccer coach at East in '67 (photo in West 1963 yearbook), and then Mr. Heisman took over our Soph year.

From my 2020 Comments at https://tinyURL.com/71faculty (“photos below” are on FB.): At the 5th Annual Banquet of the East Athletic Hall of Fame (HOF) on 11/30/19 I managed to speak with 8 former Heritage Jr HS and East faculty from our era. I got contact info for the 6 not on FB to be able to notify them for the ‘70 & ‘71 50 year reunions. There were at least 7 more there who I didn’t manage to get to.

The HOF Group is at https://www.facebook.com/groups/582394728601322/ , so if you were/are still a jock and want to keep abreast of East alumni athletics and athletes you can join. Several faculty are members. Mr. Sheppard is active on the HOF Committee, and should have contact info on many of the faculty not on FB.

[Cancelled due to Covid] The next HOF Induction luncheon will be Saturday November 28, 2020, probably at the https://www.indianspringgolf.com/ in Marlton again. Cost was $40 in 2018 & 2019. Open to any alumni who RSVP and pay in advance. My estimate is around 220 attend. One of our classmates is under consideration for election this year! We'll know for sure when the announcement of new inductees is made in the fall.
