September MLS sales break long-running streak of y/y monthly declines

It appears as if September MLS sales in Calgary have broken the string of 21 consecutive months of year-over-year monthly declines.

Preliminary data from the Calgary Real Estate Board website shows MLS sales in the city during September were 1,488 which is 2.06% higher than September 2015.

And sale prices were impressive during the month as well with the median price increasing by 2.06% to $433,750 while the average price ballooned by 7.24% to $491,462.

New listings for the month were down 3.49% to 3,042 but active listings finished  4.97% higher than a year ago at 5,877.
