Pa. House members rally for Trump

HARRISBURG - A group of state representatives proclaimed their support for Donald Trump's presidential candidacy Monday. Rows of House Republicans stood in the Capitol rotunda as legislators took turns praising their party's candidate, as Trump's son Eric looked on. "As a country, we need to start winning again," Eric Trump said. "We don't win with anything, and my father talks about this all the time, and he's right."

More than 60 GOP members in the state House have endorsed Trump, according to the state Republican Party. Speakers said that as president, Trump would keep the United States safe, foster a good climate for business, and make the right judicial appointments.

"I believe that Donald J. Trump will work to defend our borders, will build the wall, and that somebody else will pay for it," said Rep. Daryl Metcalfe (R., Butler).

In polls of a four-way presidential race, Trump trails Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton in Pennsylvania by a little more than six points, according to the most recent RealClear Politics average of surveys.
