Don’t look now, but the NBA Industry Consensus picks are moving up the overall standings, including finishing as the top set of picks on Tuesday this past week. Find out how far they have moved up in the Overall Leaderboard section below.

In this article, I will give a brief recap of each day we gathered and graded the experts, including how the Industry Consensus picks did, highlighting which experts were at the top for the day and which players were only called out by one or two experts, but produced an “A+” grade. I will also review the overall standings, highlighting the top experts so far this season. You can view the full NBA Overall Standings here.

As a reminder, we are currently gathering selections and publishing the NBA Industry Consensus articles each Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday during the NBA season, so be sure to check back about an hour or so before the first game tips off to get a look at the consensus picks for the day.

Week in Review

Tuesday (Nov 17)

Tuesday night featured a nice seven games slate. The whole was better than the sum of its parts on Tuesday as the Industry Consensus picks finished in the top spot.

The Industry Consensus picks performed excellently on Tuesday finishing with the best Daily Overlay Score on the night (5.29) out of the 8 experts graded.

F – Anthony Davis, Nicolas Batum, Michael Carter-Williams

Top Experts of the Day
#1) Daily Overlay – Industry Consensus (Score: 5.29) end the day on top for the first time this season. The Industry Consensus picks had 8 players receive an “A+” or “A” grade out of 14 sections.

#2) DailyRoto (Score: 4.94) pulls into the second spot on the day with 8 out of 16 selection receiving an “A” grade or better. DailyRoto had a few of the consensus picks with Stephen Curry, Andre Drummond and Hassan Whiteside, but they also had some less obvious picks of Danilo Gallinari and Garrett Temple also come through with “A+” grades.

Wednesday (Nov 18)

Wednesday night featured a solid 10 game slate. Overall the scores were better on Wednesday than Tuesday with a few experts getting a Daily Overlay score over six.

The Industry Consensus picks were solid, finishing in the middle of the pack with a 7th place showing out of 13 experts graded with a Daily Overlay score of 5.74.

Top Experts of the Day
#1) DailyFantasySportsRankings (Score: 6.25) performed very well with 13 out of 16 picks receiving a grade of “B” or better. Key selections included many of the top consensus picks such as Russell Westbrook, Dennis Schroder, Paul George, Thaddeus Young and Evan Fournier.

#2) DailyRoto (Score: 6.16) finished in the second spot for the second consecutive day with a total of 9 “A+” grades out of 19 selections, including some consensus picks such as Russell Westbrook, Paul George and Al-Farouq Aminu and some more off the radar picks of Jared Sullinger and C.J. Miles.

Friday (Nov 20)

Friday night in the NBA featured a big 11 game slate. Grades were down in general on Friday for the experts with only two experts receiving a Daily Overlay score over five.

Industry Consensus Picks
The Industry Consensus picks were in the middle of the pack again on Friday, finishing in 6th place out of 12 experts graded with a DailyOverlay score of 3.81, the lowest of the week.

Top Experts of the Day
#1) RotoGrinders NBA Grind Down (Score: 6.00) topped the expert’s list on Friday receiving 6 “A+” grades out of 13 selections. The Grind Down has a few of the consensus plays such as Russell Westbrook, Brandon Knight and Kyle Lowry, but they also had less touted plays such as Damian Lillard.

#2) RotoGrinders Expert Tourney Picks (Score: 5.40) makes it a 1-2 punch for RotoGrinders on the day with 2 “A+” grades out of 5 selections with two high-priced stars in Stephen Curry and Anthony Davis.

Overall Leaderboard

We now have completed four weeks of the NBA season and the overall standings are starting to settle in with the same sites at the top of the leaderboard. You can view the full NBA Overall Standings here.

#1) DailyRoto (Score 5.28) remaining in the top spot with another good week including finishing in the top 2 on both Tuesday and Wednesday this week.

#2) RotoGrinders NBA Grind Down (Score: 5.20) moves back up into second place this week propelled by a first place ranking on Friday.

#3) Moxyball-MoxyList (Score 5.00) drops back into third place, down from second place. We’ll see if they can remain in the top 3 with a few sites closing fast.

One of those sites closing fast is the Daily Overlay Industry Consensus picks (Score: 4.85) who had another strong week to pull them up into 4th this week out of a total of 14 experts graded this season.

A new site was added to the NBA grading mix this week, DFSonDemand. DFSonDemand was graded on Wednesday and Friday this week. They are off to a slow start, but we will see if they can move up the standings in the weeks ahead.
