KROCH - en tvärmusikalisk liveklubb mitt i Stockholm, på mysiga Pygméteatern vid Odenplan. 

KROCH #4 den 21 mars kl 19.00:

MAG (=Magdalena Ågren):

 jobbar med livesamplingar av trombon, megafon, röst, gitarr samt omgivande ljud och oljud. Musiken byggs upp från noll. Från minsta lilla beståndsdel växer den till en gigantisk dystopisk lo-fi-orkester, ibland återhållet suggestiv, ibland vilt kaotisk.

SAMI PEKKOLA of Taco Bells (also feat. Pekka Airaksinen and Peter Brötzmann), Mohel, Jooklo Finnish Quartet - and SIMO LAIHONEN of Black Motor (also feat. Raoul Björkenheim, Verneri Pohjola, Juhani Aaltonen), Sound & Fury, Jorma Tapio & Kaski, duo w/ Mikko Innanen, share a common language of improvisation which they utilize in unplanned concerts. Duo has its background in numerous new millennium Finnish-based free jazz outfits, ranging from living room matinee meetings to concerts and recording sessions with Jooklo duo and Alan Wilkinson

MAGGIE NICOLS & MATILDA ROLFSSON (GB/SE)

Maggie Nicols joined London's legendary Spontaneous Music Ensemble in 1968 as a free improvisation vocalist. She then became active running voice workshops with an involvement in local experimental theatre. She later joined the group Centipede, led by Keith and Julie Tippets and in 1977, with musician/composer Lindsay Cooper, formed the remarkable Feminist Improvising Group. She lives in Wales and continues performing and recording challenging and beautiful work, in music and theatre, either in collaborations with a range of artists (Irene Schweitzer, Joelle Leandre, Ken Hyder, Caroline Kraabel) as well as solo.

MATILDA ROLFSSON is a Swedish percussionist based in Trondheim, Norway. With her bass drum, bells, gongs, bows, fingers, hands and brushes she's exploring instant compositions in the moment, dynamics, orchestrations, material, structure and chaos. To make rules and break rules, always with the question: Where is the music going, and where's the freedom?
